Thinking Out Loud The Future Environmental Tech Corps

One of the tasks I do as a regulator is to enforce the reduction of waste at landfills by recycling organic waste and managing other recyclable waste (SB1383) to reduce global greenhouse gas.

New environmental bills are proposed and passed one after another to improve how we manage waste, however, all the waste disposed of at landfills will never disappear rather millions of tons of waste are added on every day and take up space on Earth. The worst part, many landfills are not regulated globally and causing to damage water, soil, and air to jeopardize people's health. Movie Wall-E is our future.

The small number of environmental corps such as Waste Management and Republic Service do great jobs and become profitable, however, many environmental tech corps run out of their businesses. Environmental Tech is not profitable in general because their service is not something people are willing to spend their money on like iPhones or fancy clothes.

The efforts and contributions of the environmental tech corps are very valuable in protecting the limited commodities, water, soil, and air. I wish there was a way to make environmental tech more profitable to please shareholders, without creating the circumstances by stealing the air and water out of people.
